Jones Shines in Bedford Tennis Tournament PDF Print E-mail

2006 Jones Shines in Bedford TournamentAll 6 players of Milton Keynes based Cavill Academy competed this week in the Kingston Windows LTA Junior Tournament held at the Riverside Tennis Club in Bedford. This was the first tournament of the season and the first LTA sanctioned event any of the players have competed in.

8 year old Georgie Sanders and Kyle MacQueen found the competition tough in the Under 10’s event. Both players struggled against older opponent with Kyle managing to clinch one victory.

Honor Comes Second in Chesham PDF Print E-mail

2006 Honor Comes SecondTennis Works Mini Academy player, Sophie Honor, took second place at the Mini Tennis Red Event at Chesham 1879 on Monday 10th April. 7-year old Sophie has been training in the Mini Academy since September 2005 and has recently started to compete in Mini Tennis events.

Tough Tennis Against Riverside Tennis Club PDF Print E-mail

Four players from the team travelled to the Riverside Tennis Club in Bedford on Saturday 1st April to compete in an inter-club match. The team found tough competition and unfortunately lost all 6 matches.

Bebbington Trials for Bucks PDF Print E-mail

2006 Bebbington Trials for BucksMilton Keynes based Cavill Academy have announced their latest player to break into the Bucks Junior County set up. 10-Year old Jack Bebbington has been training in the Cavill Academy since September and on Sunday 26th March joined for the first time the Under 11’s county training in High Wycombe. Jack joins 3 other teammates from the academy who are also involved in the county’s performance structure and hopefully by the end of the summer all 6 players will be included.

MK Tennis Players in County Set Up PDF Print E-mail

2006 County Set UpMilton Keynes tennis talent is in very safe hands as 2 players from the Cavill Academy are welcomed into the Bucks LTA County Junior Performance set up. The Cavill Academy, based at the Ousedale Centre, Newport Pagnell, are currently training 6 talented juniors aged between 8 and 11 years old for 13 hours a week. Last weekend, 2 of the players were invited into the county set up as testament to their talent and ability that was displayed at the county trials.

Players Prepare in Mallorca PDF Print E-mail

2006 MallorcaFive of the Cavill Academy players have spent the February half term at the Global Tennis academy in Mallorca. This will be the last intensive training camp until the 14th August, when the players will prepare for the Junior County Closed tournament. This is the second time the academy have been to Mallorca in the past 4 months, working with world class coaches and absorbing the numerous benefits clay court training offers.
