With Andy Murray in the public spot light after winning his second Masters Series event of the year, the local tennis spotlight is on the Cavill Academy. The academy was established in 2005 by Tennis Works founder John Cavill and has previously been training solely at Woughton Leisure Centre in Milton Keynes. The academy provides a comprehensive and high intensity training environment for Under 14’s to improve their game for competition with National level coaches.

Five players from the Cavill Academy and Talent ID programme travelled to Chesham Bois Tennis Club on Friday 25th July to compete in the well attended Mini Tennis Tournament. The team included Zack MacQueen, Krishna Chintamreddy, Emily Honor, Jamie Lawes and Matthew Dixon. All the players train with Cavill Academy coaches John Cavill and Simon Tomlinson at Woughton Leisure Centre, Milton Keynes, who travelled with the players on the day.
