Quainton Tennis Club was founded about 10 years ago and provides a great sporting facility for the village, even attracting members from farther flung communities.
Weekly club nights are held on Tuesdays in the summer months, welcoming allstandards of players. Club Night is launched on the Tuesday following the first May Bank Holiday. This is particularly popular, as apart from kicking off the new season, the Wimbledon tickets are drawn from the total membership listings.
There are successfully run teams of men's, women's and mixed tennis within the Buckingham County Leagues both in summer and winter. The floodlight facility enables play through the winter and is the envy of many other clubs.
In addition to club nights and formal team matches, they also have a good standard men's night and when possible a women's practice night. The juniors are also well catered for with weekly group coaching sessions. Tournaments and other social events are arranged from time to time.
There are a range of membership categories which include family, adult, junior/student. Details of membership and fees can be obtained from John Lucas 01296 655207. There is also a guest fee facility for visitors.
