JOHN CAVILL is the founder of Tennis Works, a unique tennis support organisation for players, clubs and coaches. In 1995 he was appointed assistant pro at Aylesbury Tennis Club until 1997. Between 1997 and 1999 he gained his HND Sports Coaching & Administration with Nottingham Trent University whilst being appointed the assistant pro at Lincoln Eastgate Tennis Club. During these years he worked on Club-School links on behalf of the Lincolnshire LTA whilst during the summers he was the assistant Pro at the Oxford Jonathan Markson Tennis Camps. In 1999 he was appointed as the Junior Co-ordinator at David Lloyd in Milton Keynes and in 2000 he founded Tennis Works. In 2001 the Bucks LTA appointed John as the Bucks Mini Tennis Coordinator whilst between 2002 and 2004, John was appointed as Regional Director for the European Registry of Tennis Professionals, which involved delivering coach education courses. In 2005 the Cavill Academy was established to develop young tennis players in a high intensity and comprehensive programme, ensuring they get the best start to their tennis life. In 2009 John set up MK Ace Tennis, a Milton Keynes based community tennis club that works in schools and public access facilities, delivering tennis to over 600 people a week. Through John’s tennis journey, he has developed strong relationships with many British and International coaches, who work together to raise the standards and improve each other. John’s heart has been in tennis since 1994, when he picked up a racket at 14 years old. What makes John a success is his combination of entrepreneurial instincts, attention to detail and understanding of tennis. Through John’s hard work, Tennis Works now supports over 2000 individuals with the help of his trusted team.
